Vraj Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Vraj Technologies, we, our, us) operates the mobile application Vraj Electrons (App). We are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of the personal data of users of the App.
By accessing, downloading, registering on, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App in India and elsewhere where the App is made available. It covers personal data collected through the App, related web services, support channels, charging session features, payment-related functions, and any connected services offered by us.
Data we collect
We may collect the following categories of data, depending on the features you use:
- Mobile number.
- Email address.
- Account login credentials.
- Vehicle details such as vehicle make, model, registration number, VIN, and EV identification information.
- Charger usage data, including charging session start and end time, duration, energy consumed, station used, connector type, and transaction history.
- Location data, including GPS location, station check-in location, route data, and nearby charger search results, if enabled by you.
- Payment-related data such as payment status, transaction references, wallet balance, invoices, and refund records.
- Device and technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostic logs, and usage analytics.
- Communications with us, including support requests, feedback, complaints, and service inquiries.
- Any other information voluntarily submitted by you in the App or through customer support.
How we use data
We process your data only for specific, lawful, and necessary purposes, including:
- To locate, reserve, activate, monitor, and complete EV charging sessions.
- To process payments, refunds, invoices, and receipts.
- To show station availability, charging status, and service notifications.
- To provide customer support and resolve complaints.
- To improve app performance, service quality, safety, fraud detection, and operational reliability.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- To send essential service communications, alerts, and app updates.
- To perform analytics in aggregated or anonymized form.
- To protect against misuse, unauthorized access, fraud, cyber incidents, and security threats.
We do not use personal data for purposes that are incompatible with the original purpose without obtaining fresh consent, where required by law. This approach is consistent with the consent and purpose-limitation principles under India’s DPDP framework.
Legal basis and consent
Where required, we collect and process personal data on the basis of your free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent. We will display notices in clear and plain language before or at the time of collection, and we will provide you the ability to withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
In certain limited cases, we may process data without separate consent where permitted under applicable law, such as for service delivery, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or security purposes.
Sharing of data
We may share data only when necessary and only with:
- Cloud hosting, app maintenance, analytics, messaging, and support service providers.
- Charging station operators, fleet partners, OEM partners, and service contractors, where required to provide the service.
- Legal, regulatory, tax, law enforcement, or government authorities, when required by law or court order.
- Buyers, successors, or transferees in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets.
All third parties are expected to protect personal data through contractual and technical safeguards and to use the data only for the purpose for which it was shared.
Data storage and security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These safeguards may include encryption in transit, access controls, role-based permissions, secure authentication, logging, monitoring, backup protection, and periodic security review. Indian privacy law requires reasonable security safeguards and breach response for personal data protection.
However, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge that transmission of data over the internet or mobile networks carries inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law, tax, accounting, regulatory, dispute resolution, or fraud prevention obligations.
When data is no longer required, we delete, anonymize, or archive it in accordance with our internal retention policy and applicable law. Where feasible, you may also request deletion of your account and personal data through the App or by contacting us.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing.
- Raise a grievance or complaint.
We will respond to lawful requests within a reasonable time. If required, we may retain some information to comply with legal obligations or to defend legal claims.
Children’s data
The App is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent, where such consent is legally required. We do not knowingly track children, target them for advertising, or process their data in a manner that would be detrimental to their well-being. This reflects the child-data restrictions under the DPDP Act.
Location and vehicle data
The App may request access to location services to locate charging stations, show nearby charging points, support navigation, and enable charging-session-related features. You may disable location access through device settings, but some features may not work properly.
If the App uses vehicle details, charging history, or session data, this information is used only for service delivery, analytics, support, fraud prevention, and user assistance.
Cookies and similar technologies
If the App or related web services use cookies, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies, they may be used for app functionality, authentication, analytics, preference storage, error detection, and service improvement. Where required, we will provide consent choices and appropriate notices.
Third-party services
The App may contain links to third-party websites, payment providers, maps, analytics tools, or station operator platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their processing of your data.
Breach response
If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will take appropriate steps to contain, investigate, and remediate the incident and notify affected users and authorities as required by applicable law. The DPDP Act specifically requires intimation of personal data breaches to the Data Protection Board and affected users.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, regulatory, or technical changes. The updated version will be posted in the App and/or on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after such changes means you accept the updated policy.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this policy.
